In learning English,
there are several ways that we must do in order to master it. One of them is
that memorizing vocabulary. It is the first step to learn a foreign language,
especially English. The more vocabulary you have, The better you can be. Yet,
sometimes, some people who memorize a few words feel dizzy and become lazy to
memorize it anymore. It could be due to doing inappropriate ways. This
time, we will share you four tips in memorizing vocabulary effectively.
1. Repetition
Do repetition every time you memorize the words, you need to understand them,
pronounce them several times till your mouth gets used to utter it.
2. Creating in phrase
Make a phrase on the
vocabulary that we are memorizing, for instances: if we memorize the word
"wall" then we make a
sentence with that word "big
wall" or "red wall",
The longer sentence we make, the better English understanding we have.
3. Practicing in daily life
This is an important
factor in memorizing, we must practice what we have memorized in our daily
lives, if there are no friends chatting to practice it we can do it ourselves
in front of a mirror, or while driving in a car or motorcycle, by practicing
what we memorize we can sharpen our memories of the words and make it easy to
remember the words we have memorized.
4. Be patient
The last tip is that
patience, in doing memorization we have to do it step by step, we cannot
memorize ten or even hundreds of words per day, start from 5 words per day,
because usually if we memorize many words in a day then in the next few days we
become bored to learn English, we must be patient and do it little by little
consistently so that it would be effective.
That is all about a
few tips on memorizing vocabulary from us, keep up the spirit and don't give up
learning English and hopefully it's useful for everyone who reads it :-)
